Coming this Sunday, October 27th , we’re hosting Seth Rogovoy and his
brand new book ‘Within You, Without You: Listening to George Harrison’. That’ll be at
4 pm, right here at The Bookstore.

This book, his third, is also the third one we’ve celebrated with him, the
first being The Essential Klezmer, and the next Bob Dylan, Prophet
Mystic, Poet.

So, Seth has had a great track record here and we are pleased and
honored to welcome him back.

The book has been getting some great review attention. Check them
out here, on the author’s own web page:
https://www.sethrogovoy.com/

We’ve even got a special George Harrison playlist on Spotify, ready to
greet you at the event.

But there’s even more I want to share with you, which are some of the
most incredible new non-fiction titles we’ve been getting in lately. For
instance, Patriot, the memoir by the late Russian dissident Alexei
Navalny. And Sonny Boy, the long-awaited memoir by Al Pacino.

Not to mention signed copies of Sandy Frazier’s epic travelogue
Paradise Bronx, Ina Garten’s memoir Be Ready When the Luck
Happens,
Ta-Nehisi Coates’ The Message, and Yuval Harari’s Nexus.

On the New Fiction table, we’re featuring Sally Rooney’s Intermezzo as
well as Elizabeth Strout’s Tell Me Everything and Richard Powers’
Playground. Also, new fiction from Louise Erdrich, Richard Osman,
Rachel Kushner and Nobel Prize winner Han Kang.

Then there’s the three most popular kids’ books, all in a row on our
center table:
What Goes On in a Beaver Pond by Becky Cushing Gop, The Magical
Science of Feelings
by Jen Daily, and In Praise of Mystery by U.S. Poet
Laureate Ada Limon, illustrated by award winning Peter Sis.

So, it’s been a very busy Fall Season here at The Bookstore, what with
the weather keeping our front door open, not to mention the afterglow
from the Author’s Guild Foundation’s W.I.T. conference back in late
September. We’ve still got some signed copies available from that great
weekend.

Next events are Joseph Luzzi’s new book Dante’s Divine Comedy: A
Biography
sometime in December, and Melissa Newman’s Head Over
Heels
, a photographic tribute to her parents Paul Newman and Joanne
Woodward, sometime in November or December, actual dates for both
of those TBA.

For our radio fans, you can mark your calendars for Tuesday, November
19, the next time I’ll be with Joe Donahue on WAMC’s Book Picks Show.

And, as always,
Thanks for Reading.
Matt
