And then it became July.
Funny that, it happens right after June 30.
Every year.
So far.

We’ve got three events featuring five, count ‘em, five authors for you this month.

First up is Laura McNeal who’s visiting from way out west, and who’s newest book is The Swan’s Nest, a tender historical novel about the unlikely love affair between two great 19th century poets, Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning. Laura will be here at The Bookstore this coming Monday evening July 8 at 5:30 pm. And who doesn’t need a good historical novel these days. . .

Next are mother and daughter novelists Ruth and Elissa Bass. We’ll tell you more about their books Triangle from Ruth, and Happy Hour from Elissa as we get closer to their reading date on Sunday July 21st at 4 pm. But you can put that in your calendar now.

And the following day Monday July 22nd at 5:30 pm we’ll be hosting two thriller writers, Carol Goodman Kaufman and her new novel The First Murder and Gerald Elias, for his latest, Murder at The Royal Albert, featuring everybody’s favorite blind and irritable former violinist turned detective, the incomparable Daniel Jacobus.

And good news for Jacobus and company. Murder at The Royal Albert has just been named top pick for the best mystery of 2023 by the judges at the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion competition.

All the books mentioned above are available right now.
See you soon, and
Thanks for reading.
