Tomorrow, April 1st, is our 46th anniversary here at The Bookstore and how better to celebrate than by announcing the premier of “Hello, Bookstore” at Film Forum in New York, the same city I left almost fifty years ago on my way to Lenox!

Kudos to A.B. Zax, director and photographer, whose vision and skill made this all happen.  Thanks to Greenwich Entertainment, who is distributing the film to theaters, and eventually to streaming networks.  And a big hello and can’t wait to see you to the folks at Film Forum in downtown Manhattan, who have chosen to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day (April 30) with our documentary.

And, of course, my biggest thanks are for you, our customers, our readers, our friends, for your loyalty and friendship over all the years.

Oh, and I suppose I should mention the writers, the authors, the agents and editors, the publishers, the makers of the product: The Book!  If not for them, well, where would we be?

p.s. Adam Zax and I will be on stage for a Q & A following the 7 pm screenings Friday and Saturday April 29 & 30 as well as Sunday May 1 at 4:50.

p.p.s.  Film Forum is a nonprofit cinema, so purchasing tickets helps support independent film.  If you can’t make it, but would still like to show some love to the film, choose a weekday matinee and buy a couple of tickets.  That will go a long way, and is deeply appreciated.

Thanks for reading, and see you soon.

Matt
